IT services for public administration in Northern Germany. Dataport is a Full Service Provider for information and communication technologies for public administration. Dataport is the only German IT service provider owned jointly by regional (länder) and local governments: the federal states (Länder) of Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg and Bremen, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Lower Saxony as well as the IT-association of local administrations in Schleswig-Holstein („IT-Verbund Schleswig-Holstein“).
The company offers its federal state and local government customers a wide range of products and services. These include data and voice network services, specialist software solutions for public administrations, data protection and data security concepts, centralized procurement of IT hardware and software, as well as training. Dataport provides a standard infrastructure for crossborder e-government solutions. In addition to this, Dataport provides client support for its customers and maintains all kinds of server and solution hosting in its data centres.
Dataport runs the joint tax data centre of the Länder Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, Bremen, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Lower Saxony.
Dataport is a public (non-profit oriented) company. The head office is located at Altenholz near Kiel in Schleswig-Holstein. Dataport has offices in the cities of Hamburg, Rostock, Bremen and Lüneburg. Dataport has approx.
