As the National Cyber Security Coordinator, Simeon Kartselyanki leads the preparation and updating of the National Cyber Security Strategy, creates and develops the National Cyber Situation Center, coordinates actions and comprehensive response to cyber crisis threats and hybrid threats, and proposes levels for assessing the threat of cyber attacks and cyber incidents.
Simeon Kartselyanski is a security engineer with more than 10 years of experience in the development and maintenance of various infrastructures and strategies for protecting corporate and public environments. He has implemented projects for government structures in Bulgaria and abroad.
He holds CISM, ISO 27001 Auditor certificates, etc. He develops his activities entirely in the direction of security and protection of critical IT infrastructure, using technologies including SIEM, SOAR, Threat Intelligence, EDR/XDR, NDR, etc.
His professional interests are focused on cryptography, information protection and the development of methods and strategies for defense in depth.
Lecturer and technical trainer in information security fields, he has a master’s degree in “Cybersecurity and digital forensics” from the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies – Sofia.
